Effective September 24, 2026. These terms govern use of the MathVista website, diagnostic, and reports.

1. The service

MathVista provides an adaptive educational check-in for Grades 3–8 and a parent-facing explanation of the evidence gathered. This is a private testing preview. Operator details and final public-service terms are awaiting confirmation. Public registration is not open.

2. Parent or responsible-adult use

An adult must begin the child assessment and confirm responsibility for the child's participation. The adult is responsible for deciding whether the service is appropriate for the child and for supervising use when needed.

3. Educational information, not a professional diagnosis

MathVista reports are educational tools. They are not school grades, standardized test scores, percentiles, psychological or medical evaluations, special-education eligibility decisions, or guarantees of future performance. Use the findings alongside classwork, teacher observations, and other appropriate information.

4. Adaptive results are provisional

The diagnostic asks a selected set of questions and may take different paths for different children. A result describes evidence from that run only. A skill may remain uncertain when the assessment does not collect enough independent evidence.

5. Saved sessions and downloadable reports

Live assessment and report access is tied to the originating browser through an essential ownership cookie. Downloaded PDF reports are intentionally portable. You are responsible for deciding who receives a downloaded report and for protecting copies you share.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the diagnostic engine, automate excessive requests, upload malicious material, scrape restricted content, or use the service in a way that harms another person or the service. Parents and educators may use their own reports for ordinary educational support.

7. Content and intellectual property

The MathVista name, site design, diagnostic logic, curriculum structure, question content, explanations, and report presentation are protected content unless otherwise stated. These terms do not transfer ownership of that material. A family may download, print, and share its own generated report for personal and educational use.

8. Availability and changes

The service may be changed, corrected, suspended, or discontinued as the diagnostic is improved. We may update question content or routing rules when quality reviews identify an error. Version information is retained with diagnostic runs so reports can be traced to the content and engine that produced them.

9. Payments

The current private preview is free. If paid reports or other paid features are introduced, the applicable price and checkout terms will be shown before purchase. No charge should be assumed from using the current free preview.

10. No promise of a particular outcome

MathVista aims to provide a useful starting point, but no assessment can guarantee a child's learning outcome, school placement, instructional response, or academic result. Families remain responsible for educational decisions.

11. Privacy

Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy & Data Notice, including the 7-day browser-access window and deletion controls.

12. Updates to these terms

Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. Continued use after an updated version is published means the current terms apply to that later use.
